Royal Wedding Extravaganza: Wedding Guest Look #3

I am pretty sure you all will be as stunned as I am to know that I checked my mailbox today and my invitation to the Royal Wedding is still MIA. I am not stressed though because I have prepped 5 outfits that will (for sure, 100% money back guaranteed) land me (or you) on the Best Dressed Royal Wedding Guest list, so I am prepared to launch one of these babies at a moment’s notice.

This will be my face when the invitation finally arrives:

So let’s get into it with Look #3 (Click HERE to check out Look #1, HERE for Look #2):

What I love about this look is how affordable the pieces are–I mixed many high street pieces with one luxury item to create this look. I did this to demonstrate that great taste is way more important than a large budget when it comes to creating a striking high-fashion look.

Meghan Markle wore (for her engagement photo shoot) a Ralph and Russo gown from their Fall 2017 Couture collection that featured an embroidered mesh top half and a tiered tulle skirt bottom half. That dress cost an estimated $47000. Even before Meghan Markle wore that gown, I had been very into embroidered tulle being drawn to designers like Zuhair Murad and Valentino. This may shock you but I don’t have tens of thousands of dollars to spend on an outfit, so this flower embroidery sheer mesh top by Shein just drew me in with its great quality at the astounding price of $23. Shein is an online store that prides itself on offering on-trend styles catering to both young women and teens that won’t break the bank.  I knew I could style this blouse up to expose its true high fashion traits. Click HERE to shop the same blouse (Zara’s version for $32) on Ebay or HERE for a similar style on Shein ($17).

My skirt is a glossy emerald pleated skirt by BCBG that cost $49. Click HERE for a similar style by ChicWish for $45.

My shoes are by J Renee–one of my favourite shoe brands as they go up to Women’s US Size 13 (a.k.a. my size). It is no secret that I am obsessed with the Manolo Blahnik Hangisi shoes however Manolo Blahnik does not make shoes in my size. J Renee makes Hangisi-inspired crystal embellished pumps (called the Bilboa Pumps) in fabrics that are just so showstopping gorgeous like the pair I have on. My pair cost $109.95 (as opposed to Manolos which cost $995). Click HERE to order the same J Renee Bilboa Pumps.

My fascinator is a burgundy felt teardrop fascinator with a birdcage veil made by Rubina Millinery ($65) based in Latvia and purchased on Etsy. Click HERE to shop Rubina Millinery on Etsy.

Now for the one luxury item: I chose the Dior Dioraddict bag because the rich burgundy colour, iconic cannage pattern, and studded style goes so well with the look. Also, Christian Dior was one of Princess Diana’s favourite luxury bag designers. I believe that she would have loved the Dior Dioraddict quilted flap bag–a line that was recently introduced in the Pre-fall 2017 collection– because it has every quality of an updated classic, a term that so describes the People’s Princess. Click HERE to check out the Dior Dioraddict line.

Please share your thoughts about this look and the Royal Wedding Extravaganza in general in the comment section down below and stay tuned for Look #4.

Love,

Chichi
