Ultimate Autumn Classic Look: Short Dress with Knee High Boots

Fall is about perfecting the layering game, especially out here in New England where the Autumn season can best be described as offering a blend of Menopausal Miami with splashes of overcast Seattle drizzles. It is not all bad though because New England Fall is notorious for offering up sheer beauty in the form of the prettiest fall foliage with the most spectacular color ranges. As a fashion lover, I cannot help but be inspired by Fall weather in New England. For the ultimate classic Autumn look, layering is key as that will allow you weather whatever version of New England Fall you get in your day. With layering, the possibilities are endless and the combinations you create will keep your inner fashionista fully engaged.

For this look, I pair a long-sleeved, color-block (Lilac and Olive), short silk dress by BCBG Max Azria (this is from last season and no-longer available).  Here are some that will work: here, here, here,), with Mocha-colored Wolford Tights (click here to buy) and Navy Blue Suede Stuart Weitzman Reserve knee high boots (order here). And for the toppings: Vince Camuto green trench coat (click here and here for  similar looks) and a Navy Blue studded suede leather bag by Chloe Drew bag (sold out but there are two versions that work; click here and here).
