DVF Yellow Floral Maxi Dress: Styled Two Ways
I am a loyal fan of the Diane von Furstenberg brand–DVF’s love of bold prints, updated feminine chic silhouettes gets me every time. It is no surprise that I fell in love with this crew neck floral print maxi dress in Bournier Acid Yellow Floral. This dress is made of 100% Silk and I ended up getting it at 40% off the full price.
Style #1:
The first style embraces full feminine fashion. Maxi dresses run the risk of appearing shapeless–even though this DVF number is cinched at the natural waist with a draw string of the same fabric, it runs large and is not exempt from that risk of shapelessness. I created a crystal-embellished belt fashioned from a teal velvet ribbon and an Oscar de la Renta multi-colored crystal brooch, both of which I previously owned. I cinched my waist with my makeshift belt and it gave life to the fit of the dress. I styled the look with a Valentino blush colored rockstud bag and beige colored J Renee Rockstud heels. The look came together really nicely.
Style #2:
I took advantage of the dress’ modern bohemian vibe with its floor length, bright floral print and subtle bell sleeves, and edged it up by adding a supple brown Kenneth Cole leather jacket. Going along with the boho-chic vibe, I added a Chloe Drew Bag (in brown leather and olive suede) with the same J Renee Beige colored Rockstud heels in the previous style. I think this aesthetic was quite Parisian Chic.
