Blog Launch: ChichiChic

Dear All,

Welcome to my blog, ChichiChic. I am so grateful that you have taken the time to stop by–it truly means the world to me.

I want to use this opportunity to express gratitude to my family and friends for the support they have given me on this journey to making this dream a reality. My husband in particular (who wants to remain a ghost in this blog…LOL) has been so supportive from Day 1 and stepped up big time in allowing me some extra time and freedom to get this project off the ground. He has always cheered me on since our high school sweetheart days, and I am eternally in awe of and in love with him.

I would like to thank my mother, Dr. Ogeri Azuogu and my sister, Ngozi Azuogu for being my greatest cheer leaders–I hope you are proud of this project.

I would like to also thank Cara Soulia, Leona Sayson, JB Photography and Breezie Castell Marketing for all their hard work, man hours, and support in helping get this blog off the ground. I am so excited for the journey ahead.

Last but definitely not least, I am grateful to God for this life, for seeing me through all the ups and downs that have led me to this moment. I praise Your name always for You are worthy.

So here we are guys–Day 1 September 28th, 2017. Happy Birthday ChichiChic!

Our Deepest Fear

by Marianne WilliamsonΒ fromΒ A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are youΒ notΒ to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

The Skirt, blouse and Clutch Bag are from BCBG Max Azria (oldies in my closet) and the my Shoes are by Vince Camuto.

Hi Chichi! Congratulations on the launch of your blog! I’m very excited. I have always admired your taste in clothing as well as your sense of style. I see now that all those late nights on call, when you seemed to be online shopping, we actually R&D. Well kudos! I am so incredibly proud of you. Keep doing you, sis!

Oh, and how awesome is it that the excerpt by Marianne Williamson is the quote I have on my phone screen saver. I keep it as a visual reminder to let “this little light of mine” shine.

“Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light..” My eyes were first drawn to these words. Delving into your blog is like recapping our conversations while breaking bread. Love it. So excited for your launch! Congratulations and continued blessing, friend. And then….the broche. Broche, broche, broche. So you.
