Valentine’s Day Lookbook 2018–Volume 1
To be honest, Valentine’s day is not that sacred to my husband and me–we mostly treat it like any other day really. This is because the spirit of Valentine’s day (expression of love) hovers around many other days in our marriage that are not February 14th. What I do love about Valentine’s day, as an unabashed fashion lover, are all the shades of red and pink that fire up my creative juices when it comes to style inspiration. With this (and the next) blog post, I have allowed the frustrated stylist in me to run wild and free. I created six looks each inspired by a female archetype and what she would wear on a Valentine’s day date.
Here are the first three:
The Duchess of Hearts
Unlike Lewis Carroll’s character, the Queen of Hearts who is foul-tempered and quick to dish out death sentences at the slightest of slights, the Duchess of Hearts is an avant-garde whimsical delight. Though she may wear her heart on her sleeves, she does not suffer fools gladly. The nasty boys will definitely get her to decree “OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.”

Boss Chick Coco
She may have a keen affection for all things luxe, however this boss lady knows the value of money. Possessing just the right blend of good taste and good sense when it comes to love (and definitely fashion), this woman is unforgettable in every way.

Valentina Boston
This quintessential city girl is a creative–she sees the world a little differently than most. She is known to be a day dreamer, seemingly building castles in the sky. Don’t get it twisted though, she is bright, bold, and brilliant in all the ways that count. Her potent brew of vision and passion will enrapture her love interest–soon he will be begging for the keys to said castle.
