Plaid Blazer from Target Styled Four Ways

Fendi Plaid Blazer

If you did not know already, checkered/plaid blazers are all the range currently. Pretty much all the fashion houses sent plaid blazers (and coats and skirts and pants and accessories) down the runway during the various fashion weeks. One of my favorite looks was by Fendi who styled a checkered blazer with a leather logo belt, a blue pleated midi skirt and some red boots. The look came together in that eclectic meet preppy meet modern it-girl sort of way that is just so magical to me.

So, I decided to jump in and snag my piece of the checkered blazer pie. The only problem was (is) that the Fendi blazer costs $3750 (the logo belt $1150 and the Midi Skirt $1550). Even if I could afford that, I have only been able to find it in, max, a Size 44 (US 8).  So I started keeping my eye out for checkered blazers and found one I love—the right style, shape, size and price for moi—from Target for only (wait for it…) $34.99!!!! I decided to play with it a little bit and style it in different ways given that a well-tailored blazer, checkered or not, is a great closet staple.
